hmm. i would be cautious about getting a pay as you go text plan. once you start texting, you will likely text a lot, instead of making calls. and people will text you. so def go with unlimited texts!

I use the ultra cheap tracfone that you load minutes on and use them by a deadline or lose them. Not the most elegant or splashy, but, like you, I rarely use the phone (for emergencies basically and then occasionally in the summer). Suits my needs.

I think I may have the same problem; I swear the sound is coming from a small heater vent in the hall - and yes a contractor did put in A/C during a major renovation prior to my buying the place. When I turn the A/c cooler at night, it seems to stop. I don’t know what to do. I did remove the vent cover and there is not a lot of room in there.
